I agree with Punynari.
The characters pulled me into their world, too.
I like to learn something from cartoons.
There are many educational anime and manga.
So they are not just for entertainment.
Take Hayao Miyazaki's anime for example, he appeal to people for paying attention to environment.
Anime and manga sometimes educate people silently.
