Among these comments, i agree with yihsieh for the most part. Children in Taiwan from my generation grow up watching anime and reading manga. This unique Japanese culture has a great influence on most of us, and the impact is intangible. Although i know many people who are crazy for anime&manga, i am not really a big fan of it. I mean i don't choose to live in a place where anime&manga are popular. They are just too common nowadays and you can always see anime mascots everywhere, somehow i get used to it. However, I would say the only reason i watch it is because the access to anime&manga is almost everywhere.
